Desert Code Camp II Sessions

I will be presenting the following two sessions at DCC2 on October 28 at the University of Advancing Technology:

Intoducing the ABCs of Windows Communication Foundation
from the Microsoft .NET 3.0 track

Abstract:
This session will provide an introduction to Windows Communication Foundation (WCF), the new communication subsystem in .NET 3.0. The WCF API unifies ASMX Web Services, .NET Remoting, distributed transactions and messaging into a single programming model that makes true service orientation tenable. Content, code samples and live demos will be provided to familiarize the audience with the core concepts of WCF.

Implementing the Trusted Subsystem Model in the Enterprise Intranet using ASP.NET
from the Security track

Abstract:
There are multiple options for managing authentication and authorization on the Microsoft .NET platform and choosing the right security model for your application can prove to be a daunting task. This session will take an in-depth look at the various options available for addressing authentication and authorization on the .NET Framework using ASP.NET User and Web Services. A general discussion on the various security models available with a detailed focus on successfully implementing the trusted subsystem model in the enterprise intranet built on Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) 6.0 will provide the audience with a solid understanding of this model and potential pitfalls to avoid in its implementation.

Hope to see you there!
